When Should You Sell Your Property?
Selling a house is a big decision, and there will be many factors in your decision to put your house on the market. Some people are just ready for a bigger property having outgrown their existing home whilst others may be in a situation where they need to sell quickly.
A lot of people find that they do not have the luxury of time that might allow you to hold out for the maximum price and are more financially motivated.
We are living in a time of great uncertainty with Brexit looming, let’s be honest, nobody really knows what is going to happen when the UK leaves the European Union. With that in mind I am asked daily if I would recommend waiting until the market evens out before potential sellers put their house on the marke? Absolutely not, if anything I would predict that house prices are like to drop further which will also have a negative impact on how many buyers there are in the market.
You would only lose money, if for some reason, you had to sell for less than you purchased it for.
The property market is cyclical. Prices go up and they come down, but generally if you find yourself selling for slightly less then you are also buying for slightly less so it becomes irrelevant.
